Achieving goals - Lauren Ostrowski Fenton

 

Aaagh the end of a week...What do we feel?

 

Relief? fatigue? Remorse? Success? Determination?

 

...and what have we learned this week?

 

Let us reflect...Look back

 

Firstly what are our goals?

 

Now be specific- let's say to ourselves...

 

My goals is to...............by the .....(date)

 

Be clear and identify your goal- say it out loud

 

Make sure you use the word "is" rather than ‘want" or "might"

 

Be definite- Be sure of yourself- take ownership

 

And what have we learned this week

 

What has taken us one step towards our goals?

 

Lets identify what we have learned- therefore giving it credence and validity in our life journey

 

  • Have you learned a new exercise?
  • Have we improved our ability to move?
  • Have you developed a new food strategy?
  • Have you managed a stressful situation differently?
  • Have you passed on information to others?
  • Have you developed a new time management strategy?
  • Have you reviewed and then modified a behaviour?

 

Identify- debrief and - and then move on

 

Every day brings new learning's and draws us closer to each goal.
